Learn About Our
Bleedership Team
The Bleedership Team of the Lowcountry Period Pixies consists of VIP Volunteers who have stepped up to the plate to volunteer their services in leadership. Our leaders come from all walks of life and have one thing in common – their strong desire to ensure that every menstruator in our community has access to menstrual hygiene products. Meet the team:

Melissa Soule
Melissa Soule is the President of our organization. She is a single mom to a teenage son, Ben. She also works full-time as a teacher for the state virtual program, VirtualSC, and as a licensed mental health therapist. Feeling the need to make an impact in the community, she began the Lowcountry Period Pixies. Melissa’s passion is advocacy.
Lisa R.
Lisa is a social psychologist who teaches at the College of Charleston. Her teaching and research interests include mental health , family dynamics, and unpredictability beliefs and experiences. She and her partner have two adult daughters, and her hobbies include stand-up comedy and storytelling. A friend invited her to a period packing party in 2019 (thanks, Cristy!) and she’s been involved with LPP ever since.

Katie Beth Preston
Katie Preston is a mom to two teenage boys. She works full-time as a bookkeeper for a woman-owned and operated trucking brokerage. Katie has volunteered for various community organizations since she was a teenager. She is excited to help the Lowcountry Period Pixies grow & meet the needs of every menstruator.
Devin G.
Devin is a passionate community advocate with a strong track record of volunteerism focused on celebrating equity and inclusion. Usually, it's by contributing to LGBTQ+ advocacy with Charleston Pride or Tampa Pride, but he will now be joining us at Lowcountry Period Pixies to dedicate his time by making sure every menstruator has access to the products they need! If you can't find him at a local event giving back, you'll find him selling homes all over the Low Country!

Chris F.
Chris was born and raised in Wisconsin. She and her husband packed up their life and moved to South Carolina at the end of 2002. She started doing deliveries for the Lowcountry Period Pixies, where she found her passion. Everyone was happy to see her and so grateful for what the organization did for the community. Chris plays a vital role in our organization, whether it’s deliveries, product pick-up, or event coordinating.
Zoe L.
Zoe is a 7th grader dedicated to fighting period poverty. After noticing a lack of period products in schools and public spaces, she founded her own platform Z Pouch, in February of last year, where she makes emergency period kits for girls and women in underserved communities. Since then, she has made over 1,200 period kits for those in need. Zoe was thrilled to partner with Lowcountry Period Pixies, an organization working toward the same cause. She now manages their Instagram, assists with packing kits, and helps promote their mission on social media.

Pamela P.
After 45 years as an RN, Pam moved to South Carolina. She volunteered for several not-for-profits after coming to South Carolina, but then she made her first delivery for The Lowcountry Period Pixies, and she knew she had found her niche. The people Pam has met through this project make her smile. Period Pixies and Tampon Fairies- they totally make a difference!
