Period Packs
The Lowcountry Period Pixies accept donations of tampons, maxi pads, liners, and hygiene wipes, all of which must be INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED. In addition, we accept donations of gallon-size storage or freezer bags and white kitchen trash bags. We pack the individually wrapped menstrual hygiene products into gallon-size bags. Twenty-five period packs are placed into the kitchen trash bag. We pack two different types of period packs – community packs and school packs.
Community Packs
Community packs are distributed to various clinics, organizations, and shelters throughout our community. They are also used to supply the blessing boxes scattered throughout our community. These packs contain five tampons, liners, wipes, and maxi pads.

School Packs
School packs are distributed to all the public schools in Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties. The packs delivered to these schools are available to all students, faculty members, administrators, and staff – no questions asked. These packs contain 7 maxi pads, liners, and wipes. These packs DO NOT contain tampons.

How-To Video
If you’re still unsure how to pack a period pack, this helpful video should help walk you through the process. The best way to do it is to lay each group of products onto a table and then put the proper amount of each product into a gallon-size bag. Squeeze out all the air and seal the bag. Place 25 packs into a kitchen trash bag. Label the bag appropriately “school” or “community” and tie the bag tightly. Any other questions or concerns? Please feel free to contact us.
